Union Park United Methodist Church was organized by Swedish Methodists on November 29, 1874. The services were originally held in Swedish. Today we still maintain some of the Swedish flavor with a membership representative of the diverse population of the Des Moines, Iowa area. The members are from the local area of Union Park as well as from other areas of Des Moines and the surrounding communities. This web site will introduce you to the staff, events, and programming available at Union Park United Methodist Church. We would enjoy your company at any of our services or special events. The service schedule is: Saturday 5:30 P.M. and Sunday 10:30 A.M., with Sunday school for all ages Sunday 9:00 A.M. There are also special services for Lent, Easter, and Christmas so check often to see what is coming in the near future.
